We also restored a number of figures on the marvelous three row
1905
Dentzel Menagerie machine, at Watkins Regional Park in Largo,
Maryland, many of which are considered one-of-a-kind carvings.
At Restorations by Wolf we take a keen interest in the historical
restoration of carousel figures. Each carving is carefully researched
before work begins. Photo documentation of the restoration is included
with each figure, often showing a truly dramatic difference between
what was brought into the studio and what departs. The Dentzel
stander, featured in the April 1994 issue of the Carousel News
and Trader, is a prime example. A mere basket-case when it arrived
with legs detached and no trace of original paint, it now stands
once again as elegant testimony to the artistry of the Dentzel factory
and to our restoration expertise.
Our Maryland location is ideal for East coast owners of carousel
figures, but our work is in such high demand that we work on figures
from all over the world. Contact
us to discuss shipping/pick up and delivery services. Remember,
at Restorations by Wolf, high demand does not equate to high price.
We pride ourselves on our ability to make museum quality restoration
available to all. Our motto is "Cover quality at affordable
prices."
If you're looking for that special horse or have a carousel figure
you would like to sell, we are also one of the top brokers of antique
carousel figures in the country. If we don't have what you're looking
for in stock, we will do our best to find it for you. We are always
looking for good quality carousel figures to buy
and sell. Contact us with your needs and we will be glad to
talk.
Thank you for your interest in Restorations by Wolf,
Steve Crescenze
